ZKS30
The combination makes the difference
In solid and hollow shaft
With the ZKS series, Groschopp is launching a new gearbox with a combined worm/spur stage that replaces the current Z14 and Z20 models. The ZKS30 is available for an output torque of 30 Nm, with other versions planned. The ZKS30 is based on the VE31 with a center distance of 31 mm. Both gear units are compatible as far as motor mounting is concerned. This is advantageous in that the gear units can now be easily interchanged. Another advantage over the Z14 and Z20 is the much simpler installation. This saves a lot of time and effort during installation. As an angular gearhead, the ZKS30 covers the same applications as the predecessor models and is used wherever an angular outlet is needed or a compact size is required.
By combining a worm and helical stage, the new Z-gears offer ratios from 34.5:1 to 690:1 and better efficiency than two-stage worm gears. The worm stage and helical gearing also ensure quiet operation. Other added values for the customer include the
ball bearings of the gearbox and the 14 solid shaft or 15 hollow shaft in the output for compatibility with the previous series. However, the output can also be varied to suit the application.
"Our first combination gearbox is made of stainless steel, has particularly smooth surfaces and is therefore easy to clean. This means that, like the VARIO gear units, it is suitable for high hygiene requirements and can be used wherever harsh conditions prevail. An aluminum version with the same geometry is already being planned. In combination with Groschopp motors, the new gearboxes represent a particularly efficient and economical solution. As an experienced drive specialist, we offer our customers a wide selection of robust, flexible, durable and application-specific gear units, which we can customize to meet individual requirements.
